Specific Admission Requirements

Students who apply for doctorate programs need to get at least score of 55 for National Foreign Language Examination. ALES scores

Qualification Requirements

In order to enter final exam, students have to be involved in 70 % of teorik and 80 % of application courses. In order to be successful in one course, students have to take CC () 70-74 score. Students were required to be successful at least 7 courses, except Specialization Field Course and 1 seminar and thesis study. Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who take courses at different universities as "graduate student" and whose registration is deleted, apply to Institu by Institu Science Council at the first week of semester in order to recognition of the courses. The recognition of courses and when students were required to start to education; total credits of courses in educational programs of recognized and successful notes were calculated is calculated by taking into account the number of semester courses correspond. History

This program is opened at 2011-2012 educational year.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of this program is to make independent research, extend and deepen the scientific knowledge, also with this program students have qualifications to perceive, design, apply and conclude on unique subject. After doctoral work, thesis should include following properties a) Innovation to science b) Development of new scientific method c) Application of known method to new area.

Program Outcomes

1- Being able to conduct studies related to science education field and special topics.
2- Being able to aware of interdisciplinary relations in science education and do analyses, synthesis and evaluation in order to gain original results.
3- Being able to teach and supervise effectively in bachelor and graduate science education programs.
4- Being able to conduct original scientific researches and/or publications in science education field.
5- Being conscious of scientific and ethical values.
6- Being able to gain the skill of using high level of qualitative and quantitative scientific research methods on his/her field.
7- Being able to gain the skill of designing project, data collection, data analysis and data interpretation in scientific research.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Exams are consisted of midterm, final and make-up exam. These exams could be oral, written, oral-application, written-application. For every course, at least one midterm is conducted at the semester. Midterm and final exam rates are determined at the begining of each semester according to Instituti Administration Council by instructor of the course or the suggestions of the instructors having doctorate degree in senate. Access to Further Studies

Students could pass post-doc education. However, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University does not this program.
