Qualification Requirements

The student must have achieved all the compulsory courses in the program. In this program, the student is required to have a minimum of 120 ECTS credits and a minimum of 4.00 out of 4.00.

Recognition of Prior Learning

The courses taken by the students who have taken any higher education before can be exempted from the course in the curriculum in accordance with the “Regulation on Transfer between Programs in Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Double, Minor and Minor Programs Geçiş. . In addition, students who wish to be exempted from computer and foreign language courses at the beginning of each academic year can take the exemption exam that the university has opened.

History

Our school was opened with the protocol signed between Ministry of Health and the Council of Higher Education on 10 September 1992 and became a legal entity on 14/12/1992 with the appointment of the Director of the School. On 18 January 1993, the School of Nursing started its education with the Nursing Program, and since 1994-1995, the Optician Program has been opened. According to the decisions of the Health Council, as a result of the opening of the School of Health, students were not admitted to the Nursing Program in the academic year of 1997-1998. Medical Laboratory Techniques Program in 2001-2002 academic year, Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program and Medical Promotion and Marketing Programs have been opened in 2005-2006 academic year. Documentation and Secretariat (SP), Medical Promotion and Marketing (SP) programs were accepted to be opened and education activities started in 2013-2014 academic year. In addition, Child Development, Elderly Care, First and Emergency Aid Programs were approved to be opened with the decision of the General Assembly on April 9, 2013; however, the students were not admitted.

Profile of the Programme

The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Program; The aim of this course is to train health personnel who have knowledge and skills about working in hospitals and other health institutions and laboratories, having sufficient and qualified knowledge and experience in terms of knowledge and experience, operation of methods and devices used in clinical and other research laboratories.

Program Outcomes

1- Have basic theoretical knowledge in the field of Medical Laboratuary Technics
2- Explain spesific words field of Medical Laboratuary Technics.
3- Has basic applied knowledge in the field of Medical Laboratuary Technics.
4- Have knowledge of applying basic knowledge in the field of Medical Laboratuary Technics.
5- Describe the problems encountered in the field of Medical Laboratuary Technics in case of unexpected situation related to the information obtained in the field.
6- In the field of Medical Laboratuary Technics, basic security deficiencies, problems are identified and their solutions are searched., basic security deficiencies, problems are identified and their solutions are searched.
7- Medical Laboratuary Technics conducts a given task independently using its basic knowledge of the field.
8- Lifelong learning consciousness determines learning needs and reaches information sources. Develops a critical level of knowledge and skills in the field
9- Medical Laboratuary Technics by using the technological knowledge and skills that are related to the issues related to the relevant persons and institutions to inform the solution proposals about the problems are written and oral.
10- Individual and public health have adequate consensus on occupational safety and environmental protection issues, aware of the risks that threaten the environment, and adhere to environmental and human health protection rules.
11- The technical equipment that can use the information and communication skills and the developing technology that can be applied to the field must be capable of synthesizing information and having comfortable eye and hand coordination
12- Has the ability to work with other health disciplines.

Access to Further Studies

With the DGS Exam, students can continue their undergraduate studies. In addition, graduates of the Medical Laboratory and Techniques program also have the right to complete undergraduate degrees in Biology, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services.
