Qualification Requirements

1.Analyze the relationship between the basic concepts of nursing. 2.Understand the importance of models / theories for nursing care. 3.İmproves the knowledge as an expertise. 4.Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills in nursing practice. 5.Convert theoretical and practical knowledge into behavior. 6.Solve the problems requiring expertise using scientific research methods. 7.Conduct research that will contribute to the field of nursing. 8.Use the evidence-based practice in nursing care 9.Perform nursing interventions in accordence with responsibility and ethical values

Recognition of Prior Learning

Student’s courses which his got previous college are evaluated by the Compliance Committee of Department in terms of course content and course hours.

History

Department of Nursing has started it's postgraduate education program within The Institute of Medical Sciences in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University at the 2013-2014 academic education period.

Profile of the Programme

The Master of Science program with dissertation in Nursing aiming to train postgraduate students with skills to gain qualified, to understand teamwork, to use technology, to obtain intellectual skills, to gain vision evidence-based care, education, research, consulting, to provide and to continue leadership qualities, and to be productive and creative person. In addition, the program aims to use scientific developments in professional and academic field by following scientific advances, and to offer being investigative and obtaining scientific expert in nursing.

Program Outcomes

1- Analyze the relationship between the basic concepts of nursing.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Students apply during the period of the mid-term grade point average of 30%, and 20% of application notes and final exam constitutes 50% of the pass mark.

Graduation Requirements

The students in the Master of science program of nursing must complete successfully the professional field course beside at least seven other courses and as well as a seminar and dissertation project (thesis). Total graduation ECTS count is 120.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Public or private hospitals, institutıons affiliated to the ministry of health and ministry of education and organizations, schools, dispenseries, places of work etc., also can be employed as a teacher an scholar.

Access to Further Studies

After dissertation in the field of nursing, proceedeng in the same field PhD programmes is available in the case of matching the respective criteria in further.
