Qualification Awarded

Graduates of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program work in the title deed registry directorates of the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre as "Land Registry and Cadastre Technicians". Apart from this, they can also work in public institutions such as General Directorate of Highways, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Mineral Research and Exploration Institute and municipalities. .

Specific Admission Requirements

Taking the YKS exam of ÖSYM and placing students with the TYT score are done.

Qualification Requirements

There is no limit to the maximum period of study to obtain an Associate Degree.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students enrolled in higher education institutions have the right to demand recognition of their previous education at different universities. Newly enrolled students must submit their transcripts and course content to the relevant unit within the first week of the registration year for their learning to be recognized.

History

It started to accept students in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Profile of the Programme

The aim of the Land Registry and Cadastre program is to train the intermediate manpower who will work on cadastral studies aiming at the creation of the land registry, especially the basic rules for keeping the land registry. Education-teaching curriculum is created in line with these purposes and is constantly updated in line with the developing technology and needs. It is aimed to train the graduates of the Land Registry and Cadastre program as individuals who have sufficient professional knowledge, can continuously improve themselves in line with technological developments, have high application skills, and contribute to their country professionally.

Program Outcomes

1- To comprehend the basic principles of keeping land registry records in a healthy way
2- To examine the legal and technical dimensions of title deed practices
3- To create a qualified manpower resource who knows the legal infrastructure and cadastral applications of the cadastre, as well as can take part in all engineering activities involving location information.

Exam Regulations & Assesment & Grading

Every student has to attend classes, practices, labs, projects, seminars, workshops, semester studies, graduation projects. Students who do not attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and 80% of the applied and laboratory studies are not allowed to take the final exams from those courses. Students have to repeat the relevant course until they fulfill the attendance requirement in theoretical courses. Exams are usually in written form. However, the instructor may also decide to hold an oral exam. According to the content of the courses, students can also be directed to project work, provided that it is stated on the information form. Examinations of the courses are given by the instructors who teach the course. Make-up exams can be given to students who have an excuse, with the approval of the relevant board of directors, within 15 days from the end of the midterm exam.

Graduation Requirements

Education and Training consists of four semesters and a total of 120 credits of courses are given. 70% of the courses taught for 30 credits each semester are compulsory and 30% are elective courses. In addition, they can graduate after 30 working days of professional internship.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

They work in the land registry directorates within the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre. Apart from this, they can also work in public institutions such as General Directorate of Highways, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Mineral Research and Exploration Institute and municipalities.

Access to Further Studies

When our graduate students take the "Vertical Transfer Exam" and succeed, they can make a vertical transfer to the departments of Geomatics Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, and Public Administration within the determined quotas.
